Hodago Fishing (Pty) Ltd was formed in 2015 as a joint venture between Kusieb Fishing Enterprises (KFE) and Gendev Fishing Resources (Pty) Ltd. We operate as a mid-water trawling company in the Horse Mackerel fishing industry. Hodago’s company philosophy is characterized by the desire to provide quality and affordability across all markets.
About us
The name Hodago means “we found it” and it is a derivative from the Khoekhoegowab (sometimes referred to as KKG) is a Khoisan language spoken in many parts of Namibia. Not only does it reflect the country’s true identity as a prosperous entity in its own right, but it also recognizes the challenges that both KFE and Gendev had to overcome in order to develop a flagship operator in Namibia.
Our primary objective is to explore fishing rights holders in fulfilling their annual quota exploitation in a manner compliant with Namibia’s legal framework.

Hodago Fishing aims to be the leading mid-water trawling company which is solely Namibian-owned. We endeavor to add value to both products and personnel throughout the value chain, and at the same time boosting Namibia’s growth.

Our mission is to sustainably harvest Namibia and proceeds optimizing on horse mackerel rights and subsequent quotas.
